How to Connect Xero to Your AI Receptionist

Step-by-Step Setup

Step 1: Log in to AnswR

Go to your AnswR dashboard. Need an account? Start your free trial here.

Step 2: Open Settings → Integrations

Find the Xero card in your integrations list and click Connect.

Step 3: Sign in to Xero

A Xero login window will appear. Sign in with your Xero credentials and select the organisation you want to connect. If you manage multiple businesses in Xero, choose the correct one.

Step 4: Approve permissions

Xero shows which permissions AnswR is requesting. As mentioned, this is read-only access to contacts and invoices. Click Allow Access to confirm.

Step 5: Verify the connection

Back in AnswR, you should see a green "Connected" status on the Xero card. Test it by calling your AnswR number and asking about an invoice for an existing customer.

AnswR checks Xero, finds the invoice, and confirms it was paid three days ago. Call resolved in 20 seconds.

Security and Permissions
